Research Scholar at Indian Institute of Technology Jodhpur
I am Nisarg Manojkumar Mehta, currently pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) at the Indian Institute of Technology Jodhpur, School of Management and Entrepreneurship, under the supervision of Dr. Deepak Kumar Saxena. My research specialises in cyber risk quantification and cyber insurance estimation, with a broader focus on cybersecurity, understandable AI (XAI), and federated learning.
Previously, I completed an M.Tech in Cybersecurity at Pandit Deendayal Energy University (PDEU), where my dissertation, Anticipating DDoS Incursions in Software-Defined Networking Using Explainable AI and Federated Learning, explored AI-driven resilience in SDN environments. I also hold a B.E. in Computer Engineering from Gujarat Technological University and a MicroMasters in Digital Leadership from Boston University (via edX).
Alongside my academic journey, I have worked as a teaching assistant at PDEU and served as an assistant community developer at Google and a GitHub Campus Expert, roles that allowed me to bridge academia, technology, and community-building.
